Support/financial assistance
Limited support has been given from school funds to pupils competing for their amateur clubs in athletics, basketball and football.
Representative Honours
Opportunities exist in Athletics, Cross Country, Mini Marathon, Netball and Football for students to progress to representing their district and their county at these sports.

Primary School Links/Community Links
- Local Primary schools visit Plumstead Manor and are
- taught by JSLA students
- Sports Relief - Plumstead Manor raised a cash donation in aid of charity
- Sport for London Schools - PMS students compete in the Nike London Run
- Gifted and Talented Students attend an athletics workshop led by John Hillier, National Throwing Coach, a table tennis workshop led by John Standen, Kent County Coach and Athletics training experience with Joice Maduaka.
Links with Sports Clubs
The staff have built up links with:
- Cambridge Harriers Athletics Club
- Southmere Boating Centre - students attend Youth evening sessions and weekend excursions.
- Greenwich Sports Development - provide athletic and basketball coaches who take extra curricular sessions.
- Charlton F.C. - free tickets for matches/visits by players
Successes:
In July 1997 Plumstead Manor was the first Greenwich school to be awarded the governments prestigious Sportsmark Standard for the excellent quality of our Physical Education provision. This Standard was re-awarded in July 2000. Our long history of sporting, dance and physical education successes continues. It is school policy to encourage students to go on to club, county and national involvement in their chosen activity. Among our achievements in 2001-02 are:
- Year 8, 9 and 10 teams won the Greenwich Schools Athletics Championships
- Year 9 and 10 teams win the Greenwich Schools Cross-Country Championships
- Year 8 Netball team win the Greenwich Schools Championships
- Student represents London in English Schools Cross Country Championships.
- Students representing Greenwich in the London Schools Cross Country and Athletics Championships.
- Several students as members of the Greenwich Mini Marathon Team
- Students representing Greenwich in the London Heathrow Youth Games in Basketball.
- Several members of the Greenwich District Soccer Team.
- Students selected for Football Centre of Excellence
- Several members of the Cambridge Harriers Athletics Club.
- Year 7 student representing Greenwich in the Indoor Athletics Championships.
- Year 7 and 8 Tug of War team win the Greenwich Tug of War Championships.
- Students representing East London Indoor Rowing Champtionships.
