Sixth Form Applications Open for September 2020 Click here

Ofsted 2018

The new Post 16 Leadership Team is making a raft of improvements to the sixth-form. As a result, teaching and pastoral support have markedly improved and the curriculum offer is increasing from next September. Students work diligently and are making good progress in their academic and vocational studies. Students are able to make informed choices about their future careers as they benefit from good impartial advice.

COVID-19 Update

Following the school closure for all students other than children of Key Workers or vulnerable students we are currently in the process of supporting our year 12 and 13 students with relevant work and support via our online platform Insight.  From here students will be able to see all work set by their teachers as well as allow parents to make contact with staff as necessary.

If any students/parents are experiencing issues with accessing Insight please email insightsupport@plumsteadmanor.com for support.

Year 11 Enrolment

Due to the current national situation a number of our enrolment processes are now being conducted online.  We are currently still accepting applications for September 2020 and an interviews based on these applications will be conducted over the phone by one of the Sixth Form Team.

For all students that have been successful in an interview, they will be receiving via post their conditional offers.  All students that receive these conditional offers will be required to confirm whether they would want to accept this conditional offer or not via the email sixthform.info@plumsteadmanor.com. By doing this we will be able keep students updated of the enrolment process as it unfolds.

At this point, we are unable to confirm the main method of enrolment that will be conducted on GCSE results day on Thursday 20th August but shortly we will be trialling an online enrolment form for student's to be able to submit, securely their personal data before enrolment day to limit the time required within the school on results day should this still go ahead.

Year 11 Transition and Bridging Work

As we are acutely aware, all current year 11 students have been significantly affected by the removal of external exams this year as well as the early shutting of schools.  In order to best support our prospective students, our amazing team of teachers are in the process of putting together a series of supporting material and preparation tasks for completion over the next 14 weeks.

These are resources for all of the Level 2 and 3 courses we are hoping to offer in September and there will be an expectation that all of our prospective students, internal or external, access these resources completing them ready for starting in September.  These resources will cover a variety of GCSE (where appropriate) and A Level content that will best prepare our students for the courses they have intended to study.

Prospective Students - Please use the link to be able to access the files, these will be added to over the coming weeks, so please ensure that you regularly check the folder.  You will be required to complete the work for the 3 subjects that you have provisionally been offered/chosen.  If you have received an offer for our Level 2 programme you will need to complete the preparation work for all Level 2 courses.
