International Women's Day
Noor Ali in Year 11 has been putting together an exciting event that is taking place at Plumstead Manor tomorrow.
Noor Ali 11Ng has been working very hard over the past six months putting this IWD programme together with the help of the school’s Senior Leadership and the PD department with the assistance of her two student organisers, Taiwo and Kehinde Alabi-Showunmi. They have all been really amazing.
IWD is an important event for us as a large all-girls school in South East London. We all have a role to play in encouraging all of the girls who are part of Plumstead Manor School community to be the best they can be. Our vision of social justice, excellence, success and harmony has been at the heart of this event.
An invitation was extended to some neighbouring students from Thomas Tallis and Eltham Hill to the event.
The event included several satellite workshops as part of the programme of events led by
- Charlton Athletic – Dave Martim
- Kim Dixon
- Barrister - Sarah Wilson
- Artist – Clare Phillips
- Sports Journalist – Joanna Tongue
- The little Fish Company – ‘Police’ performance piece
