Welcome to Plumstead Manor School
We've had a very good start to the half term at Plumstead Manor School, and everyone has made me feel very welcome. I am both delighted and proud to have been asked to work with the school for the rest of this year.
During my time, I will be making a point of working closely with the students and staff, and have spent as much time as I could in the last week being around the building and talking to as many people as possible in person. I've been impressed by the school so far, and there are many things you can all be proud of - it is truly a community built on both success and harmony.
I'd like to take the chance to invite you to our Winter Concert which we have moved to 17th December 2014. This event showcases the musical talents of our students and will feature bands, soloists, instrumental ensembles and choirs. Parents, carers, family and friends are invited to join us for the evening at a cost of £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. We would be delighted to see you there.
One of the things we will be considering straight away is a clear vision for the school now and into the future. This is an important ingredient of what makes a large community such as Plumstead Manor School successful. It so important that I've decided to move an INSET day, and I am letting you know at the earliest opportunity. We will be closing the school to students on 20th November so that we can begin to consider this important task with all of the staff. I apologise that this is coming at the last minute, and for any inconvenience this may cause.
